Tree climbing: top 10 reasons to practice!

The treetop adventure is an increasingly widespread activity in France, mainly because it allows you to escape, to escape on routes accessible to everyone, children and adults alike. You find yourself in nature, in the middle of a forest, climbing like when you were little. But be careful, some routes will only be accessible to beginners! Discover our Top 10 reasons to practice tree climbing!

Reason No. 10 to go tree climbing: clear your mind

Tree climbing is first and foremost an outdoor activity that allows us to think about something else, in a pleasant, living context: nature. When you are used to living in a big city, as is perhaps your case, or even when you work in an enclosed space, it is a real pleasure to practice an outdoor activity, in contact with nature, trees, and sometimes animals, curious about our presence.

I can guarantee you won’t be thinking about your work or your problems while you’re trying to cross the little wooden walkway, or while you’re hanging on mid-zipline.

Physically, it’s an activity that feels good, but mentally, it’s even better, it helps clear your mind.

Reason No. 9 for tree climbing: enjoying your loved ones

Before a good barbecue, after a good day at work, during a sunny weekend, it’s an activity that you will enjoy doing with your loved ones. Rather than going to the movies, or spending an afternoon at the pool or sunbathing,
why not first go through 2 hours of tree climbing, before going for a swim? Believe me, after such a day,
you won’t have trouble falling asleep.

Reason No. 8 to go tree climbing: don’t do like everyone else

It is an activity that is growing in importance, but which is not present everywhere. For example, if you are in the middle of Paris, or even in Bordeaux, practicing tree climbing means first taking the car and traveling a few dozen kilometers to enjoy it. But that’s also what makes it so charming! Unlike many activities,
You will have to prepare your bag, with items that are not too afraid of friction and potential tears, and then go to the nearest treetop adventure course. It’s sure that it takes a little longer than deciding to go to the movies or go shopping, but it’s not the same atmosphere either. And since it’s a little more restrictive, it’s something we enjoy even more.

Reason No. 7 to go tree climbing: rediscover your adventurous soul

Whoever has never tried to climb a tree, little one, raise your hand. SO? Are you affected? Impossible, we all had, at one point, the soul of a climber. Even more so if you look Koh Lanta, which is my case, it’s something that gives me even more opportunity to test myself on different events. Tree climbing perfectly meets these desires, and you will see, you will have to be strong to complete certain stages!

Reason No. 6 to go tree climbing: test your friends

We all have a smart guy in our group of friends, who likes to tell about their exploits. It’s time to take him to the tree climbing, to check if he really has the soul and physique of a Tarzan. More generally, it’s great to be able to go there with friends, even if the physiques and levels differ, and to try to surpass each other, and to enjoy it all together.

Reason No. 5 for tree climbing: accessible activity

Whether you are young, a little older, athletic or not, male or female, tall or short, thin or strong, it doesn’t matter. Everyone can practice this activity. For what? Because there are different levels. In general, when you have never skied before, you will start at a low level, a bit as if you had never skied. The green and blue slopes are generally the most accessible, those which will allow you to gain confidence and introduce you to the joys of this outdoor activity.

What’s great is that you can go there with your friends, but also your children, or even your parents.

Reason No. 4 to go tree climbing: we get what we pay for

I’m not going to hide it from you, it’s not the cheapest activity on the market, especially if you want to take the whole family. Depending on the courses and the level of each person, you will get more or less €80 for 4. Prices for tree climbing can vary depending on the sectors but also the slopes, of course.

Despite this price, I assure you that you will get plenty of value for your money. First of all because when you come out of such an activity, you are rinsed, literally and figuratively.

Reason No. 3 to go tree climbing: the harness is sexy, right?

Do you look like these beautiful sportsmen or to these beautiful sportswomen with a harness? Maybe not anyway. But what fun are we having just trying to put this on. For those who have never worn a harness, you will see, it is more difficult than it seems. For men, you will see later that it is not always pleasant. I advise you to wear pants or shorts that are long enough, since the harness will rub and as they say: “bring the package up”, enough to take beautiful photos 🙂

Reason No. 2 to go tree climbing: magnificent photos and films to take

This is perhaps what I prefer about tree climbing: resting for a few moments between 2 footbridges, and looking all around me at the beauty of the forest, the trees, and for the lucky ones, possible lakes.

I love nature, I’m not used to going to the forest, and as you can see, I’m more used to staying on my chair, in front of my screen, writing top stories with my collaborators. So, when the opportunity presents itself to do something else, I go for it! I got into the habit of taking my camera with me, to film the zip lines for example, or my friends doing the course in front of me. I use one of these cameras, which I put at the level of my chest, with a harness. It’s super practical, and it takes exceptional photos and videos.

Reason No. 1 to do tree climbing: more than an activity, a sport

Let anyone who has never had arm or leg pain after 2 intense hours cast the first stone at me! It’s really fun to do this activity, but I can tell you that you will burn calories! You climb, you crawl, you climb, you slide, you jump. In short, this is not where you are going to rest, and that is totally what we are looking for when we go tree climbing.
