10. Mathilde, Koh Lanta 17
Arriving as the youngest on Koh Lanta: Cambodia, Mathilde surprised more than one! This former synchronized swimming champion has indeed proven to be a formidable candidate.
Why will she be remembered?
The charming asset of this 17th season, Mathilde has proven that she is not just a physique. She will make it to the final of Koh Lanta, which is no small feat, when we know the level of the season.
His greatest feat? Immunity necklaces. After recovering the first immunity necklace of the adventure, she exchanged it for Sandro’s vote, for reunification, to eliminate Yassin.
If the story could have ended there, she forced fate by finding another necklace on the camp, while she was threatened with elimination.
9. Claude, Koh Lanta 10 and revenge of the heroes
He is one of the best candidates from the Koh Lanta editions. Sportingly, he won 11 individual events… Outch! We will all remember his mano a mano against Teheiura in the sloth test.
Why will we remember him?
Claude is a fool. Everyone remembers him and his strategies. He made 2 editions and each time reached the final. Many rumors talk about him in the next All Stars edition, in 2018. Would you like to see him again? For us it’s a big yes!
8. Tony (from), Koh Lanta
Tony is one of our favorites. First of all because Tony has a voice, a style, a straight talk, and a hell of an accent. It’s not for nothing that we call him “Tony from Koh Lanta” (Cf Cartman). He perfectly embodies the show. A retired police officer, he is hyperactive and showed us that age is in the head!
Why will we remember him?
One of the few to be completely in harmony with Moundir. They don’t seem to have much in common, and yet! They are, even today, inseparable! So, on Koh Lanta, friendship counts!
We will also not forget that Tony is a great physique! Impressive for his age. We would love to see it again but it is a safe bet that the production will not take the risk of putting it in a new edition…
7. Clémence, Koh Lanta 5
Clémence is not just a candidate from Koh Lanta, she is above all THE big winner of the 2005 edition.
Why will she be remembered?
It is quite rare to see a woman win Koh Lanta. It is therefore a real achievement to have fined all the men.
Instant people. Since then, she has had two adorable children with a former Star Academy candidate (Mathieu Johann).
Our little finger told us that she had flown away for the new All Stars 2018 season..
6. Freddy, Koh Lanta 9, Clash and Revenge of the Heroes, New Edition
Freddy is above all the candidate who participated in the greatest number of Koh Lanta, with Coumba. He won 6 events, not a lot given his talent. But Freddy is above all a head, and a change in behavior over the seasons.
Why will we remember him?
Arriving during his first participation in Koh Lanta as a “little boss”, this engineer was able to demonstrate throughout his adventures that he was a true adventurer. Not the strongest in the events, he is certainly one of the best in the camp.
5. Jade, Koh Lanta 7 and Return of the Heroes
Another exceptional adventurer. Jade won her edition of Koh Lanta in 2007. Just like Clémence, she had to face strong competition, but showed that she was quite an adventurer! Proof that she did not win Koh Lanta for nothing, she tried again in 2009, and lost in the final, against Romuald.
Why will she be remembered?
Her outspokenness, her physical impact, her mental strength, she was a formidable candidate for all the other adventurers. She balanced on the poles for 4h30 during the last legendary event on Koh Lanta. Hat!
4. Moundir, Koh Lanta 3, the return of the heroes, the new edition
Koh Lanta without Moundir, it wouldn’t really be Koh Lanta. He is THE most famous candidate on the show. Whether through his sentences or his behavior, he left his mark on Koh Lanta. However, we forget that Moundir is a good candidate. He was selected in 2003 when he was a sports coach, and was especially noted for his macho and big-mouth side.
Why will we remember him?
Moundir, we could talk about him. “What do you think of Moundir?”, it’s almost a philosophy test at the Baccalaureate. The guy is so awesome, surprising, annoying and endearing at the same time.
He will have released punchlines like: “hold your wife”, “if there was oil coming out of her eyes we would already be billionaires” or even “she has dumbbells in her mouth”.
We only have one thing to say. Even if Moundir has done Koh Lanta several times, we would pay to see him again… Which unfortunately should never happen, because he is today on several other channels… (France 2 Fort Boyard – W9 Les marseillais, etc.) .
3. Laurent, Koh Lanta 11 and the new edition
Laurent is the handsome guy from Koh Lanta. Already known for having worked with several fashion brands, including Guess, Reebok and Calvin Klein, he decided to participate in season 11 of Koh Lanta. He will fail on the posts, but will come back even stronger for La Nouvelle Edition, and emerge victorious.
Why will we remember him?
His freshness, his kindness, his physique, his combativeness. Laurent is a true adventurer. Very complete, he embodies the ultimate survivor. We will remember his journey for his mother, and his unfailing determination, it goes without saying. It has its place in our top of the best Koh Lanta adventurers!
2. Teheiura, Koh Lanta 11, The new edition
We move on to our Top 2 of the best Koh Lanta adventurers. Teheiura is typically the candidate who we know from the start can go far. Because of his physique, his way of seeing things, his determination and his ability to blend into his environment, he is one of our favorites. So nice on and off the show, we would love to see him in every new season!
Why will we remember him?
He is a character who perfectly controls his environment. He taught the other candidates so much.
Whether it’s how to make tools, banana leaf “mats” for sleeping, but also how to recognize edible or non-edible foods.

Its only fault? Immediately appear as a serious candidate for final victory.
1. Raphaël, Koh Lanta 4
This may seem very surprising to many of you. But Raphael remains like the adventurous gentleman of the show. He’s not 25 years old, doesn’t have the physique of an athlete, and yet he’s going to prove to all of us that on camp, he towers above the others, and that even with his build, he can hurt during tests.
He is the epitome of survivor. A normal guy, who will go to an island and show that he is actually a real McGyver, like the movie “Alone in the World” with Tom Hanks.
Why will we remember him?
He will forever be remembered as the candidate who caught a shark with a simple rope. It’s our most memorable moment of all Koh Lanta combined, and for that alone, it deserves its place as n°1 of the best adventurers Koh Lanta
Why have we never seen him again? Since his visit in 2004, he has openly criticized the production to the point of going to court against it. So we have no chance of seeing him again in Koh Lanta, and that’s a real shame.

Gégé and his breaststroke
Did you ask for mythical? We’ll give it to you. Remember, Gégé, adventurer from season 11, titled Koh Lanta:
Raja Ampat.
As a reminder, all candidates, before participating in Koh Lanta, must take a test to be sure that they can swim. For Gégé, we would like to review the test. For the rest, it reminds us of a scene from “7th Company”: “like that boss?!”.

Mohamed and his goat
You send around twenty candidates to a desert island, without food (except rice) and you leave them to fend for themselves. Mohamed, smarter than many others, found and hunted a goat on his island. Bad luck, it was impossible to kill the goats because it was full. There are mythical scenes where Mohamed does not want to release her.
What you may not know is that he spent 37 hours, on an island alone, in isolation, to punish him for his behavior, in the middle of Koh Lanta.
Dylan and his moccasins
We thought that after more than 15 seasons we would have seen everything… Well no… Dylan has been there, and even if his stay on the island was cut short by his little partners, the boy had time to make an impression. How? With his moccasins. It’s obvious that when you go to a desert island, to play physical events, it is ESSENTIAL to go there in moccasins. Style above all, we will remind you that these are Gucci moccasins, please.
Are you going to tell me, he wanted to create a buzz? According to Dylan, it’s quite different. His moccasins are made of suede, a material that dries much faster than simple sneakers. So, fashion victim or misunderstood genius?
Taig Khris and his white briefs
Superb transition with Dylan’s moccasins… Taig Khris, triple world roller skating champion, on ramp, participated in 2010 in Koh-Lanta, the clash of heroes, in the company of many athletes.
He was a very good candidate, but what stood out to everyone was his white underwear! Why did he come on a show like that in white underwear? What the women really liked also caught the attention of Franck Leboeuf, also this season’s candidate, since he nicknamed Taig Krhis, “the beam”, that’s all.
Sara and her pumps
“There’s no such thing as fatigue!!!” Does this remind you of anything? Sara, an emblematic candidate, made a major impact in the two seasons in which she appeared.
First act. When Sara isn’t happy, she does push-ups. Everyone has their own way of showing their rage. A legendary act that will go down in history.
Second act. “There’s no fatigue whatsoever!!” Are you feeling a little slack? Do you want to relax on your sofa rather than playing sports? Call Sara to cheer you up and your shoulders up.
Third act. Sara is also the first woman to have successfully made a fire on the island! Hats off Madam! How do we do that? By doing push-ups of course!
Julie and her Disney songs
Since her appearance on the show in 2016, Julie is considered “THE” singer of Koh Lanta. Annoying for some, exciting and natural for others, Julie will not leave anyone indifferent.
Whatever we can say, she will remain as an emblematic character of the show, with her Disney songs.
She did not win Koh Lanta, but she will remain for many as the little Disney princess of the show.
Palme d’Or for Denis
AHHHHHHHHH our Denis… What would we do without him! For true fans of Koh Lanta, you will not have forgotten that he did not present (scandal) the first season of the game. And yes, instead we had Hubert Auriol. We have nothing against him, but Denis is something else!
He always looks classy, always has clean, well-ironed shirts, never stammers, and always stays straight in his boots.
