Who is the most powerful Saiyan in DBZ?
In life, there are mangas that mark… For the whole generation Dorothée Club, Dragon Ball is the cartoon that has had the most impact. Goku, Vegeta the saiyan, Piccolo, Frieza, Cell, Boo, Chichi, the crystal balls, everything is mythical!
But what we looked forward to most, in each episode, was to see the saiyans progress, and more particularly Goku.
Small aside, we (very) strongly recommend Dragon Ball FighterZ, excellent opus, the best in a long time!
TOTT has prepared a Top 10 saiyans for you, guaranteed to be 100% subjective (everyone has their own idea on the subject).
1. Songoku: the saiyan who evolves before the others
It’s true that this is the choice that appears to be the simplest. “In the end, Songoku always wins.”
Except that it is very often thanks to him that the series manages to surprise us. Due to his desire to always want to surpass everyone, even if it is sometimes painful, he always manages to surprise us with a level of combat that continues to progress.
We have seen him go through around ten transformations, so much so that he has today gone beyond ssj blue and has accessed ultra instinct… (for the moment the only one to be capable of it, at least time of writing this article).
2. Little Songohan: the saiyan who destroys everything
If Akira Toriyama had continued with him in his fight against Cell, little Gohan would have had first place,
and widely…
Since his birth, we have seen him grow up with a power that has always surpassed him. During the fight against Cell, Gohan certainly gave us the most enjoyable fight in Dragon Ball Z. His transformation into SSJ2 will forever remain engraved in my memory, because the episode positively surprised me!
Unfortunately for him, Gohan has since been little or poorly exploited.
3. Vegeta, the saiyan we love to hate
Vegeta is the prince of the saiyans, but Vegeta is not the prince of our top. It’s unfortunate, because his potential (as a character) is enormous.. Certainly superior to all the others. Tortured, neither bad nor good, Vegeta has always played with us, being the bad boy Saiyan of the manga.
He is only 3rd because his character annoys us at times. Always complaining and never managing to surpass Goku,
it repeats itself too often.
We would love to see Vegeta explode, clearly surpassing Goku and reversing the roles for a few episodes.
For the record, Akira Toriyama said that Vegeta never got his SSJ3 form not because he wasn’t capable of it, but because the designs took too long (to make the hair). Money is everywhere..
4. Trunk of the future, modern-day saiyan
We rarely see this character, it’s what gives him his charm but it’s also what penalizes him. He certainly has the worst story of all, is powerful but not exceptional, but shines with his style and his sword that he never leaves.
We loved seeing him super-powered in Dragon Ball Super, hoping that he comes back regularly in the manga!
5. Gotenks, double saiyan
Gotenks is the fusion of Goten (son of Songoku) and little Trunks (son of Vegeta). From there, we understand why the character explodes everything. Young, funny, he brings a real breath of fresh air to the manga, and innovates with his techniques from who knows where!
His best attack: Kamikaze Attack, is perhaps the coolest attack in all of DBZ!
6. Gogéta, this wonderful ephemeral
What’s rare is expensive, it’s not me who says that! Gogeta is rare, very rare, and yet he is dear to us. It is only found in the film DBZ: Fusions. It results from the fuuuuuuusion between Songoku and Vegeta.
It won’t take Gogéta long to kick Janemba’s butt, and it’s a shame because we’re asking for more!
When will there be several episodes with a super-powerful Gogeta who transforms into SSJ Blue OR even into SSJ Ultra Intinct (enough to make Vegeta want to get there too).
7. Broly, he doesn’t like broccoli
You can’t be the legendary saiyan and not appear in this top! Obviously, Broly has his place, and even if we only see him in two DBZ films, he exploded in the eyes of fans.
His transformation with his all-green Ki will give the Hulk goosebumps, and since almost nothing stops him, we love seeing him smash everyone and don’t care about anything! We would love to see him again, but there is little chance of that happening.
8. Baddack, I am your father
Baddack, it’s a bit thanks to him that Dragon Ball exists. For what? Because he is Songoku’s biological father.
He only appears in one film, doesn’t transform into a Super Saiyan, and yet he puts justice and courage above all else, and we love that!
That bastard Frieza must not have agreed with us and decided to quickly finish with him. Too bad, we would pay to see it again one day! Why not in another universe… After all, Dragon Ball Super certainly still has plenty of surprises in store for us.
9. Kefla, the touch of femininity
Kefla is the new kid and only girl in our ranking. We have recently known her since she appears in episode 115 of Dragon Ball Super.
His character is the fusion of 2 saiyans: Caulifla and Kale. Let us specify that Kale is the legendary saiyan of his universe (in the same way that Broly is that of our universe). You follow me? Kefla is therefore also legendary, and overpowering!
It will take a Songoku Ultra Instinct to overcome it, that’s to say!
10. Vegeto, the schizophrenic saiyan
I have a feeling some people won’t agree. We put him last in our ranking because he is certainly overpowered, but he has no personality. We find it bland, that’s it.
Despite everything, we could have not put him in the ranking, but if he had been ahead of Nappa, or Raditz, or even Pan, I think this article would have ended badly.
Anyway, he’s strong, he’s handsome, he can transform into SSJ Blue, but honestly, potalas are really easy… We’ll say it again, we want our Gogeta!
