Bodybuilders, it’s a passion, a profession, an obsession. Some will find it uninteresting, others dangerous, others still exciting. We have a lot of preconceived ideas about bodybuilders, mainly about doping, also about their obsession with themselves. True or not, every bodybuilder in this top 10 has worked their whole life to get to this level.
Top bodybuilders n°10. FLEX WHEELER
Age: 52 years old – Nationality: American – Height: 1.75m
Flex Wheeler, whose real name is Ken Wheeler, is a rather heavy bodybuilder, since he weighed 102 kg in competition.
Prize list: 2nd in the Mr.Olympia competition (1993 / 98 / 99) – 4 times winner of the Arnold Classic

Top bodybuilders #9. GUNTER SCHLIERKAMP
Age: 47 years old – Nationality: German – Height: 1.85m
Former bodybuilder of the German IFBB, he was nicknamed the “gentleman giant”. He retired from competitive bodybuilding in 2006, after his last appearance at Mr. Olympia.
Results: He won the GNC Show of Strength and finished 4th in Mr. Olympia 2005, his best result in this competition.

Top bodybuilders #8. KAI GREENE
Age: 42 years old – Nationality: American – Height: 1.73m
His real name is Leslie Kai Greene (we understand that he only kept Kai), he is an American bodybuilder with many facets. He is also an artist, actor, and personal coach. One of his little nicknames? Predator. Just to please Arnold perhaps?
Open your eyes well every series fans, he stars in Stranger Things 2
Results: He has quite a record: 1st at the WNBF Pro Natural Worlds, NPC Team Universe Championships, New York Pro, Australian Pro Grand Prix, Arnold Classic, etc. He also finished 2nd twice at Mr.Olympia.
Top bodybuilders #7. LOU FERRIGNO
Age: 66 years old – Nationality: American – Height: 1.94m
In terms of size, we change category… 1.94m for 125 kg in full competition, a machine!
Lou Ferrigno is paradoxically a bodybuilder better known for his roles than for his sport. He has indeed played important roles, such as that of Hercules, in 1983 and 1985, but is mainly known for his interpretation of Hulk, in the series The Incredible Hulk.
Note that it is always him who voices Hulk in all the latest Marvel films. Also note that he played a perverted prisoner in the excellent series My family first.
Prize list: 2 times 3rd at Mr. Olympia – 1st Mr. América Pro.
Top bodybuilders n°6. ROELLY WINKLAAR
Age: 40 years old – Nationality: Curaçao – Height: 1.68m
Roelly is a very dense bodybuilder. He owes it to his small size (he must look very small next to Lou Ferrigno). He is particularly known in the circuit for his arms and shoulders. In short, he sends steak!
Prize list: 1st Wings of Strength Chicago Pro (2 times), Nordic Pro, 6th Mr. Olympia.
Top bodybuilders n°5. MARKUS RUHL
Age: 45 years old – Nationality: German – Height: 1.78m
You will tell me, he is in this ranking even though he does not have an incredible track record. You would be right. We put him 4th because he represented a real challenge to Ronnie Coleman, champion in all categories, due to his weight. He was the only one who was able to compete with him, at the time, in terms of muscle density.
This beautiful baby still weighs 146 kg out of competition, compared to 130 in the dry.
Prize list: 1st New York Pro Show, 5th Mr. Olympia.
Top bodybuilders #4. DENNIS JAMES
Age: 51 years old – Nationality: German – Height: 1.72m
Certainly, Europe (Germanic) and the Americans monopolize all the places in our ranking of the best bodybuilders!
Prize list: He has a career as big as his biceps. 1st at Mr. Universe, Grand Prix Hungary, IFBB Tampa Pro, Europa Super Show. He will always be ranked in the top 10 when he runs for Mr. Olympia. A very good career which ended in 2012.
Top bodybuilders #3. PHILLIP HEATH
Age: 37 years old – Nationality: American – Height: 1.75m
A monster. Quite simply. He is already one of the best bodybuilders of all time, in terms of titles, even though he is only 37 years old. To give you an idea, he has won as many Mr. Olympias as Arnold Swcharzenegger.
This list ranks you as a gentleman.
Prize list: 7 times Mr.Olympia in a row (2011 to 2017). Boom.

Top bodybuilders #2. ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
Age: 70 years old – Nationality: Austrian / American – Height: 1.88m
Do we really need to introduce Mr Arnold Schwarzenegger? Bodybuilder, actor, politician, he has played multiple roles throughout his career. We will stay in his “role” of bodybuilder for this top, but we will talk about him again in other tops devoted to cinema.
Prize list: Youngest Mr.Olympia (23 years old). He has won this competition 7 times, sorry.
The most striking thing about his physique? Certainly the width of his pecs, impressive!
Top bodybuilders n°1. RONNIE COLEMAN
Age: 53 years old – Nationality: American – Height: 1.80m
“Big Ron”, his nickname, is undoubtedly the best bodybuilder of all time. When you see his track record… He is the Federer of bodybuilding, the Schumacher of Biceps.
Prize list: 25 victories in the IFBB Professional League (we don’t have time to list everything) – 8 times winners in the Mr. Olympia competition.

Top Bonuses. Thor Björnsson
His real name is Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, 90% of people know him, we’ve seen him before, but not in this form. He plays the role of La Montagne, in Game Of Thrones.
He’s not strictly speaking a bodybuilder, but he’s still quite a mass!! And the strongest man in the world in several categories, practicing strength sports, strongman competitions.
If you were wondering, know that he is 2m08 tall and weighs 180kg, even though he is only 29 years old. A beautiful baby!
